Let's unite in colour

When faced with the threat of COVID-19 spreading through our community, we have all stepped up as South Australians.

So, today, I extend a big thank you to you; whether you are staying at home, social distancing or working at the front line, everyone is helping to play a role in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

Your State Government has acted swiftly and decisively to deliver a state-wide response to COVID-19. The health, safety and wellbeing of all South Australians is our priority, and significant planning and preparations have been undertaken to get us to this point. We will continue to roll out our strong plan to help:

  1. Protect South Australians
  2. Slow the spread of the virus
  3. Prepare health and other services to deal with the virus
  4. Support business to keep people in jobs
  5. Promote and foster a sense of wellbeing during this time.

I want you to know that you can reach out to me and my office at any time, to seek advice and support, and to have your questions answered. If we can’t answer them, we’ll do all we can to find someone who can.

On a brighter note, I have had a colouring in picture designed featuring our front line workers and the Repat. Regardless if you are young or young at heart, I encourage you and your loved ones to take some time out, colour in and/or put the drawing in the window of your home to share your thanks to all those in front line services who are doing so much at this time. Together, let’s unite in colour as we express our thanks.

Alternatively, you can post them back to me and I'll display them in my office before presenting them to some of our local front line workers. You can also take a photo of your drawing and post it on social media with the tag #SAUnitedInColour.

A copy should appear in your letterbox, but you can also print a copy at home by downloading here. If you would like additional copies posted to you at home, please let me know by calling 8374 1939 or emailing [email protected]

If you'd like to show your thanks for all that our front line workers are doing at this time, feel free to add your signature. I'll present a list of names along with the colouring in I receive to local front line workers.
