Seniors Forum rescheduled for October

As you may remember I was planning on holding a Seniors’ Forum in April about Advance Care Directives, however regrettably due to COVID-19 I postponed this event.

I am now delighted to invite you to my

Tuesday 20 October 2020 10.30am — 12 noon

An Advance Care Directive is an important, but confronting, step forward in planning for future health care, preferred living arrangements and other personal matters. Many residents have expressed to me an interest in finding out more about this sensitive topic.

Margaret Brown from the University of SA will introduce this important document and discuss the reasons why we should plan ahead. Margaret was a driving force in the creation of the Advance Care Directive Act in SA and has run many professional and community information sessions about completing an Advance Care Directive.

There will also be the opportunity to meet other seniors, chat over a cuppa after the forum and book a meeting with a Justice of the Peace who can assist with your Advance Care Directive. Please note the location has changed as part of our COVID-19 safe plan. It will be held at:

Enjoy Church

1013 South Road, Melrose Park

I hope you will be able to join us for this forum about Advance Care Directives. RSVP is essential as numbers are limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. COVID-19 Safe practices will be enforced at the event. Please RSVP by Monday 13 October 2020 by phoning 8374
