Initially planned for April, this Seniors’ Forum about Advance Care Directives was regrettably postponed due to COVID-19 and subsequent restrictions. I am delighted to announce that the free forum is now able to go ahead, adhering to social distancing guidelines and regulations, on October 20.
An Advance Care Directive is an important, but confronting, step forward in planning for future health care, preferred living arrangements and other personal matters. At this forum, Margaret Brown from the University of SA will introduce this important document and discuss the reasons why we should plan ahead. Margaret was a driving force in the creation of the Advance Care Directive Act in SA and has run many professional and community information sessions about completing an Advance Care Directive. There will also be the opportunity to meet other seniors, chat over a cuppa after the forum and book a meeting with a Justice of the Peace who can assist with your Advance Care Directive.
Please note that RSVPs for this event are essential due to COVID-19 restrictions. Please RSVP by Monday 13 October 2020 by phoning 8374 1939 or emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org
