Now, more than ever, we know how important world class healthcare, closer to home is.
That's why the Marshall Liberal Government is continuing to deliver on our promise to Reactivate the Repat and deliver landmark hospital upgrades.
This week, we announced another $6 million in funding towards Reactivating the Repat.
We're creating a brain and spinal injury “step-down” facility to complement the 48-bed Brain and Spinal Rehabilitation building underway. This will deliver a state of the art health response for our local area and all South Australians.
We're building a Repat that will ensure that members of the community have access to specialised services, closer to home and when they need it.
As you know, we are also delivering much more at the Repat, including:
- Town Square
- Veterans’ Wellbeing Centre
- Specialist dementia care facilities
- Statewide Eating Disorder Service
- Southern Older Persons Community Mental Health Service
- A re-opened hydrotherapy pool
What matters to you, matters to us.
We're delivering a massive funding boost to kickstart a range of important health projects for local communities and create hundreds of jobs when we need them most.
Locally, the Flinders Medical Centre’s Emergency Department has also been boosted by an additional nine emergency doctors to staff the expanded ED as part of a game-changing $86 million Southern Health Expansion Plan.
This will help to ease pressure in the ED, assist patient flow across the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network and reduce ambulance ramping.
